Hi Guys,

We are sending this notification to all the old members’ email addresses in order to establish whether you are keen to see the club up and running again. We have also been approached by other flyfishers new to the area or who have recently taken up fly fishing. We will be approaching the local tackle shops and asking their permission to place posters in their shops to attract new members.

The idea is to have informal meetings and outings as well as update the web site, www.scff.co.za with our latest fishing exploits and assist newcomers to the sport in tackle selection, flies and places to fish to improve the odds in the favour of members and visitors to the website and the Garden Route. The club will also join FOSAF as several of us are already members and it is to assist a good cause.

Unfortunately everything was left to Herman in the past but business commitments and lack of support has seen the club as such die a bit of a death although we know there are regular flyfishers in our area as I have met same while fishing at Little Brak River and was told by a friend in Howick that there were interested flyfishers in Mossel Bay!!!

So, if interested and you are still in the area, please drop me a line via email with your contact details and any comments so we can update our mailing list and arrange a meeting of interested parties and if you know of other flyfishers in the area, please forward this to them.
